Guiding you through what to expect before delivery

Broker customers

When you order a personal lease vehicle, a business lease vehicle (including business contract hire, salary sacrifice, finance or flexible lease) then a broker or dealer handles your order.

We recommend speaking with them first for any queries.

Corporate customers

If you've ordered a company car or a salary sacrifice car through our corporate sales team, you’ll have used the Lex Driver Portal. The Lex corporate customer services team will handle your order.

The Lex Driver Portal or your helpdesk is the best contact for these orders.

Amending your order

Changing vehicle or specs

It may be possible to change your order providing it hasn't yet gone into production at the factory.

Please speak to your broker or dealer to see what is possible.

For corporate company car or salary sacrifice drivers, please speak to your fleet manager or sales adviser.

Changing contract terms

It may be possible to modify your contract terms if you haven’t taken delivery of your vehicle. This would be depending on a requote and credit check.

For corporate company car drivers, your employer usually sets the terms of your contract. Please speak to your fleet manager or sales adviser for guidance.

Corporate salary sacrifice drivers will need to check the terms of the scheme.

Adding maintenance

If you haven’t received your vehicle yet, you may be able to add maintenance cover. This change depends on getting a new quote and passing a credit check.

You can't always add or remove it after the start of the contract.

For corporate company car drivers, your employer usually sets the terms of your contract.

All corporate salary sacrifice orders will always include maintenance.

Cancelling the order

If you need to cancel the order, please let the broker or dealer know as soon as possible.

For corporate company car or salary sacrifice drivers, please speak with your fleet manager or sales adviser. The earlier you can tell us the better.

There may be a charge for a cancelled order.

Tracking my order

Tracking order progress

Your broker or dealer will inform you of your vehicle's due date soon after you place your order. They'll also give updates of its expected arrival. If unsure please speak to them.

For corporate company car or salary sacrifice orders, you can track progress through Driver Portal.

My order is delayed

First, chat with your broker or dealer. They have details about any delays and can also tell you the new stock date.

If you have any questions about a corporate company car or salary sacrifice order, please speak to your sales adviser.

The delivery process

When your vehicle arrives in stock, the broker or dealer will contact you. They'll then arrange a date and time for your vehicle's delivery.

This is typically between Monday and Friday 9am to 5pm.

The dealership or a transport logistics company may deliver the vehicle.

For corporate customers you will be contacted by the repairer. The delivery process remains the same.

What comes with the car

Every vehicle comes with all you need to get started. You’ll usually find mats included and in the case of electric cars a charger cable. We also make sure we tax the vehicle before it arrives.

If you have ordered a corporate company car or a salary sacrifice vehicle, your employer may have asked us to include some extra items.

These items might include a hi-vis jacket, a warning triangle, and specific driver support information.

There is a problem with the vehicle on delivery

The vehicle is damaged

Please make sure you check it thoroughly on delivery and you raise any issues at the time with the delivery agent.

Please report this to your broker or dealer directly, or in the case of corporate company car or salary sacrifice orders, please report to your sales adviser.

It doesn't match my order

If your vehicle doesn't match what you ordered when it’s delivered, please speak to your broker or dealer directly. They'll be able to help.

For corporate company car or salary sacrifice orders, please speak with your sales adviser.

Items are missing

If you notice missing items when you receive your delivery, such as the locking wheel nut or charger cable, please talk to your broker or dealer. They can help you.
